A child is diagnosed with cancer every three minutes – that is why Wahl Clipper is challenging the Kappa Sigma Fraternity & residents of Washington D.C. to Get Buzzed… for good.  Together they’ll raise funds for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and childhood cancer research. Join us on October 18 in the National Mall for an event featuring head-shaving, entertainment and the chance to hear from local DC families impacted by cancer. On Sunday, October 26, 2014, renowned American author/journalist Joan Nathan and acclaimed restaurateur James Alefantis are hosting a special dinner at Buck’s Fishing & Camping with Politics & Prose Bookstore, for visiting cookbook author Aglaia Kremezi from the Greek island of Kea. She is in the nation’s capital for the launch of her new book Mediterranean Vegetarian Feasts. Guests will dine on dishes featured in Kremezi’s new cookbook, created by guest chef Alexander Zeppos.
