Help reclaim the future for millions by participating in the Western Maryland Walk to End Alzheimer’s®.  Hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Maryland Chapter, the event provides an opportunity for the community to learn about Alzheimer’s disease and how to get involved with this critical cause, from advocacy opportunities and clinical trial enrollment, to support programs and services.

Registration begins at 1 p.m., when walkers can drop off donations, pick-up t-shirts, take team photos, and decorate posters and promise garden flowers. They also can enjoy refreshments provided by Giant Food, Panera Bread and Baltimore Coffee & Tea.

At 2 p.m., WHAG-TV Anchor Jeff Bowers will emcee a powerful opening ceremony that will focus on the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

After taking the 3- or 1-mile walk path, everyone is encouraged to stay for fun activities, including free seated massages, the purple hair station from Hair Cuttery and the Making Memories Kids’ Corner with face painting and pumpkin decorating. Participants can register as individuals or teams. Those who raise at least $100 will receive a Walk to End Alzheimer’s t-shirt.
