The Women’s Challenge, Inc. (TWC) presents Pasta With A Purpose, a night of entertainment to fundraise for post-secondary education and homeownership. Community members will enjoy all-you-can-eat Italian cuisine, raffle games, prizes, a live DJ,  the soulful sounds of all-female band “Les Femme Totale,” Kim Jordan, renowned pianist and music director, and Marc Evans, host of “Acoustic Thursdays” and more. The event is being held at the renowned Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, located 847 N. Howard Street, Baltimore, MD. Doors open at 5:30 pm.

This Father’s Day – Sunday, June 15– Prostate Health International, a division of The Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health, will host the 12th Annual Gary Papa Run to benefit prostate cancer awareness, education and grants to area hospitals for prostate initiatives. On Saturday, April 12, 2014, the Women’s Law Center of Maryland will host the 8th Annual Wine & Chocolate event at the University of Baltimore’s Student Center from 6:30pm-8:00pm.

 

This event features delicious chocolate treats from Baltimore’s local businesses, as well as specially selected wine pairings.  A Silent Auction will also be included in the evening’s festivities, as well as a 50/50 Raffle. Tickets are available for $25 in advance/$30 at door; $20 students; $40 VIP (includes limited edition keepsake wine glass).

The Children’s Home will host its annual 5K Community Walk for Children & Families on Saturday, May 3rd, beginning at 9:00am, at 205 Bloomsbury Avenue in Catonsville. Proceeds will benefit The Children's Home Summer Camp Program. The event will begin with a stroll through historic Catonsville and finish with refreshments, music, activities, and prizes. Early registration is $30 for each walker. Registration on the day of the event is $35. Teams of five or more will receive a registration fee discount.
