1. One reviewer ate at the Bar at Dogwood in Hamden -- festive and fabulous. The staff was so nice, even tho we didn't have reservations they made sure we were taken care of at the Bar. We had to pick up kids and they actually seemed disappointed that we weren't lingering even though the bar seating was filling up. Alternatively, last year we ate at Tsunami; where we had reservations and although the food was delicious the reception and wait staff had major attitudes and we were rushed through our meal. Our college student and boyfriend had a fantastic valentines dinner at Marie Louise Bistro.  By a reliable friend asked to have name-leftout.

FEAST @ 4 EAST Madison Inn shares a recent restaurant review:
We went to Dipasquali's for lunch (great place..how i never know about it when i lived in brewer's hill will forever haunt me)then for dinner strolled down the street for a wonderful meal at Feat @ 4 east. It was very intimate, the restaurant seemed only 3/4's full, but that made it feel more like "our own" and the service was very good and personal.
I had a great lobster bisque, which wasn't too thick (which can bother me if they over thicken it), featured heart shaped crouton and plenty of lobster. My main dish was shitake stuffed scallops over a mushroom risotto, which was also great (my only complaint was it was a bit underseasoned). And for dessert I tried something new, and went for the rocotta dessert (cassata i think) which featured honey and pinenuts. What a great light dessert.
My girlfriend started with a salad with roasted pecans and pecan encrusted, baked goat cheese...which was simple and worked really well. Her main was the petite filet (which looked much larger than petite) over polenta. the steak was cooked perfectly and was melt in your mouth. She finished with the chocolate pot de dreme, which was also really good. both mains were served with a side of asparagus, which seemed really fresh, and afterwards the hostess gave us and another table a tour of the open rooms they had in the B&B.
After dinner we met up with some friends for some drinks over at The Prime rib, which was quite the change of scenery from where we had just come from, the place was packed to the brim with "fancy pants" but was fun for entirely different reasons (and the musical trio they had was great, especially the trumpey player)...now if only the girl in the full mink coat wouldn't have spilled my $12 martini all down the front of my shirt without even blinking an eye...

CITYPEEK ate out with friends after a flick at Towsontown at Cafe Troia. The waiter, Serge was excellent, albeit not knowledgeable about wine, but we were so it was ok! Our chosen winewas a 2002 montalcino great, caesar-perfect and good service. The scene was bustling. Before theatre, we had a cocktail and wonderful pizza at Paolo's. Every lady was given a rose, except us. Busy college scene!

KOMIKO Michael cooked me a 3 course meal and we watched the movie at "Landmark Theaters Harbor East". I hope that you had a great tim, Kumiko

Sunday Bloody....Bloodies on Sunday:

CITYPEEK FOODIE -Ryleigh's Oyster disappointed as no tomato juice for the weekly sunday bar, Regi's Bistro was packed and sampled one bloody with a cape cod yummy  salad. Chatted with  media guru Bill Porter & and Cruise Web expert, Rosalind Smith.  and Cork's had a spicey bloody and winderful atmosphere where chefs levi and jerry welcomed up and other foodies like the owners of Peter's Pub of Fells Point. Also chatted with hospitality veteran pal, Lisa Hansen.

Helene Miller Heidi n SeeK write: Hi Patti, I was at The Havana Club for our Valentine's Day event. We had a blast, Dale Corn's 12 piece orchestra played first, great sound and felt like I was at the Copa Cabana with Frank Sinatra, afterwards, great DJ TJ Roberts, wonderful spinning great sound. Pink Vodka Open Bar for the first hour. Could have danced the night away but was working.

JAMEY HEBB: Sekoraka's in Westminster (we had a gift certificate). Okay for what it was foodwise, but too crowded, too many K-Fed's there for me, and no ambience. Not recommended for a romantic meal, just fine for strip shopping centre Japanese.

CAMERON BARRY: We stayed in. My husband made braised lamb shanks with oranges and olives, creamy polenta and Roman-style artichokes (all courtesy of Mario Batali). For dessert, he made an amazing chocolate souffle that Mark Bittman published in the New York Times. I posted a link to the souffle recipe on my Facebook profile this morning. Why wait for Valentine's Day to come around again?

Japanese steakhouse is our annual family tradition. Karen Baitch Rosenberg-Couldn't get reservations at the new Sakura in Hunt Valley so we landed at Ginza in Cockeysville. Crowded ~ hokey, but cute. Shrimp and scallop teriyaki was great. (And the fireman doll that the chef uses to pee out the fire never gets old.) BYOB. Prefer the one in Owings Mills, which has a liquor license.

Bill Mcallenwrites: Red Lobster. The Olive Garden was too busy
