It is here and CITYPEEK is thrilled to have attended!  THE HIPPODROME FOODIE EXPERIENCE, PART OF AN EVENING WITH ANTHONY BOURDAIN AND ERIC RIPERT ON MAY 22, 2010, Audience members joined Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert and Regan Warfield from 98-Rock in the foodie Q&A discussion which was both lively and honest. A special shout out to Marilyn Waranch and Megan Miley of Broadway Across America-Baltimore & Washington, DC France-Merrick Performing Arts Center. The event was wonderful. I served pasta with the crew at La Scala. Lynn Cippolone and I along with Beth and Chef Nino's close buddy, Sean served up hot plates until 12:30am. Lynn writes, "What a fun night! Huge turnout and lots of great people. It was awesome to meet Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert and also hear some of their stories. Unfortunately we didn't get to sample much of the food-- we were so busy we didn't have time to walk around until most of it was gone! Heard great things though. Hopefully everyone enjoyed our Crab Alla Regina and that Bourdain has some better things to say about Baltimore now!"

In sampling over twenty-one of Baltimore’s top restaurants’ best dishes and mingling with fellow “foodies” at the Hippodrome, the following restaurants represented the Baltimore area proudly and well-many touting pork-bacon-specific entries which is well-known to be Bourdain's favorite.
