On Saturday, May 15th at 10 a.m. fencers Dan "Darth" Collins and Ray "Jar Jar" Gordon will participate in the 4th annual MEGABOUT to raise funds for the educational programs of the Chesapeake Fencing Club and to benefit The Sisters Academy of Baltimore, a Catholic middle school for girls from needy families. For every $30 pledged, Dan and Ray fence a bout. Last year, Dan and Ray each fenced 75 bouts apiece. This year, hoping to hit the century mark--100 bouts! Be sure to come on by, make a donation, and cheer the fencers on!

Join Prostate Health International (PHI) for the 8th Annual Father’s Day prostate 5K run/walk, now known as the “Gary Papa Run 4 Your Life” in honor of 6 ABC’s former Sports Director and longtime PHI supporter, Gary Papa, who lost his battle to prostate cancer in 2009.

Carroll Hospice, Carroll County’s only hospice organization, has announced that it’s premiere fundraising event, Taste of Carroll, will take place on Monday, May 17, 2010. A VIP reception, including a meet and greet with Bob and Kendel Ehrlich, will take place from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. while the general tasting event will occur from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will take place at the Manor House at Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, Md.
