Come out to Gallery 788 on Thursday, March 10 to bid on some great local art, do some dirty or demure dancing, and help print the BNote, Baltimore's new local currency!

Local currency will support small, independent merchants and artists, and provide a way to push back against the "25th Street Station" project and corporate retail chains drawing the wealth out of our communities. Come dressed as your favorite foreign currency and get in free!

The National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD) will take fundraising to new heights with its second annual Rappel for Kidney Health signature event occurring throughout the day, Saturday, June 18, from the Canton Crossing Tower in Downtown Baltimore’s Canton community.

People of all ages are invited to rappel down the 17-story building. Each participant will pledge $1,000, receive a fundraising Web page, receive a rappelling time slot, undergo a training session the day of the event and be photographed while in action.

BALTIMORE – Approximately 400 guests are expected to gather for what is being planned as one of the region’s premier food and beverage pairing events. The business/casual fête will feature food from Baltimore’s Best restaurants and caterers, complimented by American and European craft beer; wine and spirits. Adding to the excitement will be interactive presentations, a silent auction and live jazz.

BALTIMORE – As part of its National Kidney Month commemoration, the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland (NKF-MD) will present a special book-signing event.

Angela Balcita, a Baltimore resident whose work has appeared in the New York Times, will sign copies of her new book, Moonface: A True Romance, at Baltimore’s largest independent bookstore, Greetings & Readings.

Suited to Succeed will host its tenth annual fund-raiser,
"Suit-A-Palooza" on May 5th at the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric. Our event tickets are a recession friendly $40 per person and $75 per couple for a wonderful evening of bidding on awesome silent auction items, a live auction (featuring the Governor's Sky Box, vacations and more), great music, gourmet food vendors, drink, vendors and much more.

Governor Martin O'Malley is once again our Honorary Chair along with State Senator Verna L. Jones. Patrice Harris of Fox 45 will be our host.
