On Sept 25, Lux Amoris will be hosting a charity photowalk to benefit the House of Ruth. All who love photography are welcomed, from seasoned pros to camera phone users. There is a fantastic prize package available to the winning photographers (first place alone has a prize value of over $3000!)   This weekend: September 2nd-4th is the Baltimore Grand Prix. Alewife Baltimore is thrilled to be a part of this HUGE event!

  We will be EXTENDING our hours at Alewife this weekend! Friday-Sunday we will be open from 9am-2am!! Inside you can get food all day and (almost) all night! Our special Grand Prix Menu will be available around the clock (until the kitchen closes) and we will be serving our regular Dinner Menu from 7pm-10pm ONLY.

Baltimore International College (BIC) is hosting the “Celebration of Life” gala to benefit Michael Wagner, CEC, Senior Associate Chef Instructor at Baltimore International College. Chef Wagner has been battling cancer for several years. Unfortunately, he was recently diagnosed with stage IV melanoma, which has spread to his liver and intestines. Chef Wagner and his family need our support.

Freshen-up your fall look with a cut for a cure! Hair Du’ Jour Salon is participating in City of Hope’s annual Northeast HopeCuts fundraiser. On Sunday, September 25, 2011 from 1PM – 6PM, the salon will be offering discounted services to support City of Hope’s efforts to cut-out cancer. Discounted services will include women’s haircuts for 20% off to the first 10 customers. Proceeds from the day will go towards City of Hope’s mission to conquer cancer, as well as other life threatening diseases including diabetes and HIV/AIDS.
