Boys Hope- Girls Hope is a non-profit organization that provides at risk children with a stable home and the support needed to reach their full potential. “We are honored and excited to be helping to make the Girls Hope House dream true- by enhancing the décor in their “Extreme makeover “ It is our hope that with all that is being created- our flowers will help turn the ‘House ‘ into a home” says Eddie Wingrat, Co-Owner of FLOWERS & FANCIES .
The Emmy award winning reality program “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” entering its 8th season, airs Sundays from 8-9 p.m., ET on ABC. NEW SPOT to open: Here is a scoop from CANTON'S WAYNE Mahafferty: A few weeks ago, I promised some big, big, big news. Well, here 'tis: For those of you who don't already know, we are opening a new place at 2901 E. Baltimore Street (formally Three-3). It will be quite different from Mahaffey's Pub in that it will be a wine-centric restaurant. We will of course have good beer, but this will not be the primary focus. We are shooting for an opening on September 16, which would have been the 60th wedding anniversary of the two greatest people ever. I hope we can make that - I'll keep you posted. The name will be "Bistro Rx", which is an homage to the old Block's Pharmacy that was there for years. 2 very special people gave me the concept and helped me nail down the name. Thanks MJS and CEH! Please note that NOTHING will change at Mahaffey's. The same great product, service and atmosphere you've come to know and love will continue to flow. I will be a little less visible, something that my staff probably is a little happy about. Other than that, Mahaffey's will continue to rock on. You know, I believe we have two lives. The life we learn with and the life we live after that.
