We received a letter from LANDRY's Restaurants, Inc., the restaurant powerhouse that owns concepts like Seafood House, Chart House & Rainforest Cafe Inc announcing that effective April 30, 2010 all OCEANAIRE SEAFOOD ROOM locations "were acquired by and will be operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of  LANDRY's RESTAURANTS." No changes expected as the company was bought/brought out of bankruptcy.Expect just fine fresh food, wine and service. We recently saw Chef Ben and Manager Donna of OCEANAIRE BALTIMORE at an RAPPEL for KIDNEY HEALTH event top of the Legg Mason Bldg in HARBOR East serving delicious tuna both seared and sashimi.

We must add, we also enjoyed sampling tuna sushi item from TALARA- BALTIMORE-yes, truffle oil was part of their delicacy. Thanks to TALARA's GM Nick and Chef Jimmy and Ryan of Stuggy's for the hotdog topped with mac n cheese and LEBANESE TAVERNA for the hummus. We were sorry to miss the fabulous ribs provided the next day by ROY's!

Chef Bill Crouse, formally of SOTTO SOPRA has joined the staff of Sláinte Irish Pub and Restaurant and Woody's Rum Bar and Island Grill. "I welcome all of you to enjoy life, hopefully it's while you're enjoying great food and drink" Bill Crouse, Executive Chef of Sláinte Irish Pub and Restaurant and Woody's Rum Bar and Island Grill.

Chef Bill has received the Medal of Excellence from Chaines des Rotisseurs and the Award for Professionalism from PCI. This past year he was nominated for "Chef of the Year" through the Restaurant Association of Maryland and through the National Academy Foundation. He was voted in the top three favorite chef's category in Baltimore magazine 2010 Best of Issue.
