PHILADELPHIA BREWING COMPANY TO HOST SHADES OF WHITMAN: A “LOOKALIKE” CONTEST

WHO:             Philadelphia Brewing Company and Whitman at 200

WHAT: Philadelphia Brewing Company is excited to partner with Whitman at 200 to host an official Walt Whitman lookalike contest in celebration of the 200th birthday of “America’s poet of democracy.”

Guests are invited to experience the “Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” in Jardenea Lounge on Saturday, May 4, from 3-7 p.m., offering partygoers and racing enthusiasts an authentic Derby Day program including classic Derby cocktails and dining options. 

Immerse yourself in all things Derby with a classic Mint Julep or indulgent Bacon Bourbon cocktail. A variety of themed light-bites will be offered during the viewing ranging from Country Ham & Biscuits, Bourbon Pecan Pie and a play on the traditional Kentucky Hot Brownwith crisp tater-tots.

Feast with Phillips Seafood’s new all-you-can-eat brunch buffet on Sundays from 10am-2pm.  From made-to-order omelets and classic breakfast favorites such as bourbon french toast and waffles to fresh griddled crab cakes and carved prime rib, to our extensive raw bar featuring chilled snow crab legs, freshly-shucked oysters and peel-and-eat-shrimp, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The Bercy in Downtown Ardmore, along with Main Line Realtor Michelle Leonard, will host Dine & Dish with the official Phillie Phanatic Tom Burgoyne on Monday, April 22, 2019, from 6-9pm.

Show Your Soft Side (SYSS) and Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) will hold the seventh annual Pawject Runway, presented by Pet Valu, on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Royal Farms Arena. The fashion show features “Softies,” animal-loving professional athletes, entertainers and activists, who will strut their stuff on the runway “modeling” a range of adorable and adoptable dogs and cats in need of a home from BARCS.
