On Monday, November 14th join Brent Celek, his teammates and celebrity friends when they trade in their helmets and uniforms for plates and aprons, as they become servers for the evening! For $250 per person (exclusive of tax and gratuities), enjoy four courses of Morton's The Steakhouse signature cuisine, fine wine and an exciting auction, while supporting a good cause. The reception and silent auction will begin at 7 p.m. and dinner and the live auction will begin at 8 p.m.

The "BasketBALL" Gala is a black-tie event attended by representatives of the BB&T Classic teams, their coaches, other sports figures, business and community leaders. The 2011 line-up includes the University of Maryland and The George Washington University, plus Big East power University of Notre Dame and 2011 Final Four participant Virginia Commonwealth University. The gala will benefit the Children’s Charities Foundation (CCF). Join us for a reception, silent auction, dinner, and dancing to the sounds of ABBA The Concert.

The Young Friends of the Foundation for Breast and Prostate Health (FBPH) are kicking off Halloween weekend in style with “Mischief and Martinis” at Hotel Palomar on Friday, October 28. From 8-11 p.m., guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. Tickets are $75 a person, with 100% of the proceeds going to the FBPH. The Parasol Project is a grass roots effort to support Better Burmese Health Care. BBHC is a community based, doctor directed, non profit organization that has been providing basic health services to underserved communities in Burma since 2005. Beautiful umbrellas, hand painted by Burmese artists will be on display for purchase. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Better Burmese Health Care and the local Burmese art community. The umbrellas will remain on display for purchase throughout the weekend of November 17th.

Art with a Heart (AWAH), the Baltimore-based non-profit organization that strives to enhance the lives of people in need through visual art, will be celebrating the first anniversary of their retail outlet and service learning venue, HeARTwares. Located in Hampden at 3512 Keswick Rd., HeARTwares features a wide variety of hand-made and one-of-a-kind artwork, jewelry, house ware items, garden ornaments and assorted gifts.
