Celebrate National Donate Life Month with a fun night of cocktails, dancing and food from Philadelphia’s finest eateries at the Donors Are Heroes 10th Anniversary THE Party. The event will take place on Friday, April 27th at 8:00 PM at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia. Mike Jerrick from Fox 29’s “Good Day Philadelphia” will be hosting the VIP PARTY at the event, and guests will enjoy music by DJ Eddie Tully. Fashionable black or white attire requested.

Join Paws Pet Boutique for 6 dog-friendly, social gatherings in their bricked courtyard behind the store to benefit animal-related charities. Mark you calendar for the 3rd Friday of every month beginning April 20 through September 21, 2012. Dogs and their humans are invited to enjoy these themed evenings with refreshments, raffles and mingling all for a good cause. The festivities begin at 5:00 pm and conclude at 7:00 pm with free admission.

The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory (BSF) will host a Birthday Gala for William Shakespeare on Friday April 13th, 2012 at The Carriage House, Evergreen Museum & Library (6:30-9PM.) All proceeds from the event will benefit the BSF “Summer with Shakespeare” Scholarship Fund.

Art with a Heart, Inc. (AWAH) will host a First Fridays party on Friday, April 6th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at their retail store, HeARTwares (623 W. 34th Street) in Hampden.

The event will delicious refreshments. HeARTwares recently celebrated its one year anniversary and outgrew its original location. The new location has the appropriate space to showcase the burgeoning artwork from participants in Art with a Heart classes. All sale proceeds are split equally between Art with a Heart and the community partner or artist.

You'll climb ladders, slide down poles, find your way through a smoky maze, get wet, jump live fire, then get wetter! Whether you're an experienced athlete or just looking to get out, get active and have fun, this is a great community event for everyone!

The House of New Beginnings presents the 2nd annual Jazz N’ Arts N’ the Park fundraiser to raise money for the HONB. housing efforts for youth who have “aged out” of the foster care system in Baltimore. Attendance to the event is free and for all ages.

-Performances by Jeff, Marcel & The Truth, and Opal Rose will provide soulful sounds.

-Various food, retail, and service vendors will be set up all around the park.
