On Father’s Day, June 17th, 2012, Prostate Health International (PHI) will host the 10th annual Gary Papa Run to benefit prostate cancer research and awareness. The event is named in honor of 6ABC’s former sportscaster and longtime PHI supporter, Gary Papa, who lost his battle to prostate cancer in 2009. Advanced registration is $30, and $35 for on-site registration. This 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Walk will begin at 8:30AM at Eakins Oval at the Philadelphia Museum of Art after opening ceremonies and an warm up for runners and walkers.

Join The 2012 Philadelphia Antiques Show for the 3rd annual New Collectors’ Night, sponsored by Freeman’s Auctioneers & Appraisers and Philadelphia Style Magazine. A party to celebrate the 2012 Show, new collectors will explore the Show’s 58 dealers and galleries from 6 - 8pm on the show floor. Following hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, the excitement will continue outside of Hall F with an after-party until 10:30. The Show is Penn Medicine’s largest fundraiser, and proceeds from the 2012 Show will benefit the Penn Lung Transplant Ex Vivo Lung Perfusion Program.

Teams of Baltimore architects, engineers, contractors, designers and students will march into the White Marsh Mall prepared to create masterpieces for the AIA Baltimore 2012 CANstruction design competition.
After the competition is over, all of the canned food is donated to The Maryland Food Bank and other emergency feeding programs in the community to help those in need of food assistance.
