About Faces in Maryland will help women get in the pink spirit this October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. All six About Faces Salons will offer pink hair extensions for $10 each. About Faces Salons will also be selling breast cancer t-shirts and beach bags to benefit the American Cancer Society’s fight against breast cancer. All proceeds from the pink hair extensions and breast cancer merchandise will be donated to the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.

Team CASA, the official charity team of Maryland CASA Association is actively recruiting runners and walkers to join their team for the 2015 Baltimore Running Festival. This year's race is set to take place on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 at M&T Bank Stadium. To date the organization has recruited 100 runners and walkers, but aims to reach 150 so they can secure a charity tent at the event. Those interested have the choice in participating in either the 5K, Half-Marathon, Full-Marathon, or Team Relay (prices and start times vary by race).
