For two decades, Ian Davies has been recognized as one of the most knowledgeable importers and brokers of California, New Zealand and Australian wines, so this addition to his portfolio is a perfect fit. Glaetzer Wines, a boutique family owned winery, Barossa Valley, will be available as of February 2019, through Vino Logics' network of national distributors.

Since settling in Barossa Valley in 1888, from Brandenburg, Germany, the Glaetzer family is known for being one of the earliest recorded viticulturalists in Australia’s Barossa Valley and Clare Valley.

Ben Glaetzer’s four red wines have won critical acclaim, and all carry on family traditions of wine making, each brand representing an ancient symbol connected to the universe and to wine.

Glaetzer Amon-Ra Shiraz is an iconic wine that epitomizes Ben Glaetzer’s passion to create wines that are full flavored, multi layered and intense, but still elegant, stylish and finely balanced. The Egyptian temple of Amon-Ra was believed to be the first temple to ever to plant and produce a monoculture vineyard to produce wine. The symbol on the label is the all-seeing eye of Horus, a powerful Egyptian symbol of protection representing the six senses; touch, taste, hearing, sight, smell and thought. Ben Glaetzer created Amon-Ra Shiraz to appeal to all these six senses.

Glaetzer Anaperenna is a seamless fusion of two varietals, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Voluptuous, opulent and yet refined, with a very long and satisfying finish. The name Anaperenna, the Roman goddess of the New Year, symbolizes the year's cycle and translates as 'enduring year'. Romans would honor Anna on the first full moon, March 15, toasting with a glass of wine. The symbol on the label is the Egyptian Ankh symbolizing sunrise, regeneration, regrowth and renewal.

Glaetzer Bishop is a true expression of Barossa Shiraz, elegantly structured with a long finish. Bishop is the Scottish family name of Colin Glaetzer’s wife, Judith. Fittingly the sign of Venus, a symbol which has come to represent women and feminine energy, is the centerpiece of the Bishop label. The sign has also been linked back to ancient Egypt – a nod to Bishop’s link to Amon-Ra and Anaperenna

Glaetzer Wallace, takes on the traditional Barossa Valley blend of Shiraz and Grenache in a modern way. The Shiraz brings backbone, flesh and body to the wine with the Grenache adding a soft, vibrant juiciness. Ben’s mother, Judith’s family name, Wallace, is celebrated in the label, in the three elements of the Wallace symbol - the Celtic cross, thistle and the Celtic knot pattern.
