The 2017 DC Shorts Film Festival showcases one of the largest collection of short films in the USA. Out of over 1,500 entries from around the globe, our programmers have selected 170+ unique films in 17 showcases that reflect the 31 nations they represent — and bring a world view to Washington, DC.

Art on the Avenue is a multi-cultural arts festival celebrating our community’s diversity through the arts in the Del Ray neighborhood in Alexandria, Virginia. This festival is held on the first Saturday in October, rain or shine!

Loud beer and even louder music! Amps and Ales combines the electricity of rock and roll music with a handpicked selection of America’s best craft beers held on Saturday September 16th, 2017 at Prince George’s Stadium, home of Bowie Baysox.

Get ready for the wildest wine tasting in town at Zoo Uncorked (formerly Grapes with the Apes) on Sept. 7 at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo. Raise your glass for conservation and enjoy wine tastings from local and national wineries and vineyards in the beautiful setting of the Zoo. Dance to live music, meet exotic animals and, new this year, stroll through The Art of Conservation, an exhibition and sale of handcrafted goods from independent area artists.
