About La Chica de tu Madre:

La Chicha de tu Madre is an Amazonian Cumbia/Chicha band based in Washington, D.C. Chicha, also called Psychodelic Cumbia, Cumbia amazónica or Jungle Cumbia ("Cumbia de la selva"), was created in the Amazonian region of Perú in the late 60's. The style combined the saturated psychodelic guitar and organ sounds of the era with the cumbia rhythm and the traditional Andean melodies and chord progressions of the region.
