Old City Fest returns on Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 11:00am to 6:00pm, along N. 3rd Street (from Market to Race) and Arch Street (from 2nd to 4th). Celebrate art and design, fashion and food, creativity and culture, music and family fun on the streets of America’s most historic square mile. Enjoy two runway fashion shows, live bands, circus performers, kids’ entertainment, savory and sweet bites, seasonal craft beers, handmade shopping, 100+ vendors and more. Admission is free and open to the public.

Prost! Brauhaus Schmitz transforms the 23rd Street Armory (22 S. 23rd St) into the region’s largest Oktoberfest celebration between October 7-9, 2016. The 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest will make you feel like you’ve been transported to the world famous Oktoberfest in Munich with traditional German food, beer from Hofbräuhaus, live music and dancing, Bavarian blue and white ceilings, festival tables/benches from Germany, a lofted music stage and more. Inis Nua Theatre Company presents the Philadelphia premiere of Radiant Vermin, by English playwright Philip Ridley, from October 19 to November 6, 2016, at the Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake (302 S. Bartram’s Garden (54th Street & Lindbergh Blvd.) is busy as a bee during Philadelphia Honey Festival! On Sunday, September 11, 2016, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, enjoy the Buzzed Ice Cream Social with an exclusive ice cream flavor created by Little Baby’s Ice Cream using ingredients found in the Garden, plus cool off with Art in the Age cocktails and boozy ice cream floats. Newbold Community Development Corporation fires up the grills again for the 2nd Annual South Philly SausageFest on Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. South Philadelphia’s annual sausage-themed food fest takes place along West Passyunk Avenue (between South Broad and 15th streets). Look for sausage and sausage-inspired dishes cooked up in a variety of traditional and unique styles - including vegan - from nine restaurants and eateries that are part of the upcoming food scene on the other side of Broad Street.
