The Magic Toy Shop (La Boutique Fantasque) is an exciting fusion of classical ballet and circus arts like you’ve never seen! Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet Society and the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts present a delightful story about toys that come to life, an exceptional little girl, and a love that endures despite the odds.  This new ballet makes its debut at Upper Darby Performing Arts Center (601 N Landsdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill) on Friday, May 6 at 7:30pm, and Saturday, May 7 at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.

South Street kicks off Philly's summer festival season with a free, all-day, all ages block party on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 11:00am to 8:00pm. South Street Spring Festival will take over South Street between Front and 8th, plus continue onto 2nd Street Plaza. 30+ restaurants and bars will serve food and drink outside on the street.  The district will come alive with music and entertainment from 40 bands, three stages and seven additional street locations. Children of all ages will enjoy free family fun in the Family Fun Zone.

Waffles & Wedges (1511 Pine Street) celebrates one year in business with a special 1st Birthday Block Party on Sunday, April 24, 2016, from 1pm to 5pm. Owners Andrea Capecci and Laura Judy will close down the street next to the Rittenhouse eatery for an outdoor celebration featuring food specials, menu additions, free beer tastings, live music, food trucks and more. Admission is free. Food is pay-as-you-go. Drinks are free. 21 and up to drink.  

Inis Nua Theatre Company presents the American premiere of The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning by Tim Price, from April 27-May 15, 2016 at The Drake (203 South Hicks Street). This Welsh play revives some not-so-long-ago American history to tell the story of the young Army intelligence analyst who leaked the largest amount of classified documents in U.S. history.
