Inis Nua Theatre Company presents the American premiere of Spine, by English playwright Clara Brennan from February 17 to March 6, 2016, at The Drake (1521 Spruce St). Spine is a heart-warming, funny and defiant love-song to libraries, an increasingly endangered species under Britain's austerity government. A fiery and wise-cracking teenager forges an unlikely friendship with an elderly widow living in a house of stolen books. Together, the two discover they may be each other’s last resort in life.

Sour Bowl II kicks off on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 11:00am with a full 32-tap takeover at BRÜ (1316 Chestnut St) that features 28 sours, plus four IPAs, including Pliny the Elder. Simultaneously at BRÜ’s subterranean sister bar U-Bahn, Stout Bowl will feature 14 over-the-top stouts, plus a Tröegs firkin. Beers are first come, first serve and range from $7 to $10.
