Looking out for Kids

Salus University is hosting its thirteenth annual Looking Out for Kids Charity Fundraiser. Guests will enjoy cocktails and food stations of various styles for an evening of socializing and dancing. The event will host a band for musical enjoyment and there will be a handful of silent auction items up for bid. All funds raised from ticket sales and throughout the night help provide vision care services and eyeglasses to uninsured and under insured children in Philadelphia and its surrounding communities.

Using these funds, The Eye Institute, which is run by Salus University, is making a difference in the lives of children whose families cannot afford eye care services and eyeglasses. Statistically, one in four children has an undetected vision problem that, if left untreated, can interfere with visual development and early academic success. The “Looking Out for Kids” charity focuses on the vision care needs of some of the most vulnerable in our society - children and families living in poverty.
