The New Sweden Alliance invites visitors of all ages to participate in Capturing New Sweden, a social media scavenger hunt, and take a pilgrimage through the history of the New Sweden colony in the Delaware Valley area. Each New Sweden site will provide a clue to find a specific location at which you will snap a “selfie” and post it to Instagram.

South Street kicks off Philly's summer festival season with a free, all-day, all ages block party on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 11:00am to 8:00pm. Festivities will take over South Street between Front and 8th, plus continue onto 2nd Street Plaza. 30+ restaurants and bars will serve food and drink outside on the street. The district will come alive with music and entertainment from three stages and eight additional street locations. Children of all ages will enjoy free family fun in the Kids Zone. 40+ artists and retailers will cater to your shopping needs.

Hop on down to South Street for some FREE, egg-citing family fun during Philadelphia’s 84th Easter Promenade on Sunday, April 5, 2015 starting at 12:30pm. Master of ceremonies Henri David returns to lead the parade from Passyunk Avenue and South Street down to Headhouse Square. Enjoy Easter treats, live music from the Philadelphia Freedom Band, the Bunny Hop, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cottontail and much more until 2pm.
