The Philadelphia Singers present an evening of musical discoveries with "Bach and the Mendelssohns" on Saturday, October 29th at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Philadelphia. In this intriguing concert, travel on a musical exploration to discover the influence of J.S. Bach on both Mendelssohns, brother and sister. This concert provides a rare opportunity to hear both the Bach and Mendelssohn "Magnificats," along with many of Felix Mendelssohn's lesser-known choral works.

Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar Philadelphia will kick off its first-ever “Philly Finds” for locals and hotel guests on Friday October 14th at 8:00 am. Using the iPhone and Android mobile application “Scavenger Hunt with Friends,” Hotel Palomar will send all willing participants on a weekend hunt seeking everything from historic landmarks to famous Philly eats. The application allows participants to document their hunt findings with photos taken on a mobile device. The creativity of the photos is the ultimate tie-breaker so originality is key!
