After closing in November 2016 for renovations, a new, fresh Trinacria Cafe , is now reopened at 111 Centre Street, at the corner of Park and Centre Streets, in Baltimore City’s Mount Vernon neighborhood. Trinacria Cafe is no stranger to Italian food. It’s owned by Vince Fava, whose family Trinacria Deli & Gourmet Grocery, has brought the best of southern Italian food, wine and ingredients to use in your kitchen, since 1908. And now, savor these ingredients as they are served directly from his kitchen to your intimate table at his cafe.
“My goal is to be the ‘Cheers Bar’ of Mt Vernon, serving some of Trinacria's favorite Italian dishes, at moderate prices, in a cozy atmosphere. We redesigned Trinacria Cafe with the locals in mind, intertwining Baltimore and Sicily into both our menu and our interior design. We plan to be a perfect choice for a quiet lunch meeting or date night,” states Fava.

The kitchen is headed by Executive Chef, Matt Robicelli, well-known as co-owner (with his wife) of the award-winning New York City Bakery, Robicelli’s, which he closed, when he moved to Baltimore. He and his wife, are authors of the cookbook Robicelli's: A Love Story, With Cupcakes, so expect some creative desserts woven into menu.
Trinacria Cafe offerings include delectable dishes like spaghetti alla puttanesca, Spaghetti aglio e olio, calamari with marinara sauce, linguini with clams, tiramisu. And a lovely glass of vino to compliment the meal. The bar area is cozy, with bar stools, and high-top seats for enjoying the bar scene and restaurant can hold a total of 75 people. The wine list is predominantly Italian grown. Food is served Sunday-Thursday 11 am- 10 pm and Friday-Saturday 11 am-11 pm, Sunday brunch offered. 443-759-4082/www.trinacriacafe.com
