National Harbor is proud to announce that it will broadcast Olympic coverage on the waterfront plaza at National Harbor (157 National Plaza, National Harbor, Md. 20745) beginning Friday, Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m. The first 30 minutes of coverage will be silent as the venue has a D.J. onsite until 8 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets and food. Alcohol is not allowed. Pets are allowed as long as they are leashed and owners pick up after them. Tents are not allowed. National Harbor has a large, movie screen situated right on the waterfront at the property. The property broadcasts movies on Thursday (“Date Night”) and Sunday (“Family Night”) evenings throughout the summer. Olympic coverage will be broadcast through the Closing Ceremonies on Sunday, Aug. 21.
Olympic coverage will continue daily with some black out time periods for evening fitness sessions and movie nights on Thursdays and Sundays. Check the National Harbor website for the complete schedule www.nationalharbor.com/events/.
In addition, there will be special contests and giveaways during the broadcast as well as changes to the colors of the Capital Wheel to reflect the winning teams.
