Cava Mezze delights Baltimore, DC and Maryland suburbs

Primary tabs

Our traveling foodie, Millie Caplan had fun finding Cava Mezze, a new Greek restaurant, in Baltimore that takes pride in its inspiring food and the stunning bar with its extensive libations. New to town, Cava Mezze is somewhat of a brand name. Think hummus!

Cava Mezze offers shared plates, an expansive wine and beer list, and handcrafted cocktails. Menu staples include hand-rolled Grape Leaves and Spankopita, tableside flambéed Saganaki, and braised Elysian Farm lamb shank. Founded in 2006 by local childhood friends Dimitri Moshovitis, Ike Grigoropoulos, and Ted Xenohristos, Cava Mezze is open in Rockville, MD; Capitol Hill, DC; Clarendon, VA; and Harbor East, Baltimore, MD.

In Baltimore, Ms Caplan enjoyed her experience. "Chef Brian Murnane's ethereal “fresh as one can get fare” is the star lending exclusivity to this dining experience. Try the perfectly cooked Branzino with fingerling potatoes, or the roasted pulled white meat chicken with the el dente Orso
With Ryan at the helm, the capable ‘wait staff ‘is there to please with its moderately priced menu," Mrs. Caplan continues.

The management states, Cava Mezze is "your neighborhood Mediterranean hangout, dedicated to shared plates and culinary excellence. Find us in Rockville, DC, Clarendon, Olney and Baltimore." Come for Sunday Brunch, many are raving about it!
