WASHINGTON, D.C., July 14, 2015 – On behalf of Blaq Crown Entertainment, we would like to cordially invite you to the first annual “DMV Summer Music Fest”! On Monday, July 20th, 2015, Blaq Crown Entertainment is kicking off its first annual “DMV Summer Music Fest” at the renowned Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. from 6 pm – Midnight! This year’s festival will allow for eclectic brands, music lovers and artists hailing from all genres to come together and celebrate one thing, MUSIC! Blaq Crown Entertainment is excited to welcome new and undiscovered brands and artists from the DMV and its surrounding areas to be an essential component to this year’s “DMV Summer Music Fest”!

It all started with one dream, dreamt by one artist. In 2014, singer/songwriter Devin White experienced first-hand the lack of resources and support present amongst DMV’s R&B and Pop artists, and knew that a change was necessary. Because of Devin’s resilience, tenacity and unorthodox talent, he was able to find much success in the DMV’s music scene, and figured he could assist others to achieve the same results. His vision was to not only become an unparalleled R&B singer and songwriter, but to also provide the necessary platform for rising artists to gain respectable notoriety and take their craft to the next level … Thus, Blaq Crown Entertainment was born! Since then, the collection of vocalists, conscious rappers and band members, including Jasmine Franklin, Lolita Leopard, Nikko Miles, ANTWAVY and the Kings Vizion Band, have gone further than any could imagine in less than a year. Blaq Crown has opened for top acts such as August Alsina, K Camp, Dawn Richards, ILoveMakonnen, Sebastian Michael and Fabolous and performed at various music festivals and concerts all throughout the East Coast, headlined their own productions at highly acclaimed venues such as The Filmore and The Howard Theatre, and continue to keep their songs in rotation at the DMV’s hottest radio stations, WKYS 93.9 and WPGC 95.5.

 Blaq Crown Entertainment is excited to carry out the mission that started it all by producing the hottest, most eclectic and multi-faceted summer festival that has ever been brought to the DMV. On July 20th, glossed-over and undiscovered brands and artists will have the opportunity to gain vital exposure and notoriety from hundreds of attendees, which will include music executives, news and media outlets, other supporting artists and music-lovers alike hailing from the DMV and its surrounding cities. A night filled with nothing but inspiration, good vibes, GREAT music, supportive fans, delectable cocktails and gourmet food, the first annual “DMV Summer Music Fest” is sure to be the event of the year!
