Traveling with Fido, my dear Foodies and Winos, never fear, we have you covered for some wonderful dog-friendly accommodations that will delight both your travel plans and your pups. We took the question to facebook and the results flowed in.

Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts:

Recently, friends got married at the Four Seasons Baltimore. their baby, a gorgeous wheaten terrier was part of the main event. Seen left: Charlie Pasley and his parents:

Fine Print:
    The Hotel welcomes dogs and cats weighing up to a maximum of 60 pounds (27 kilograms).
    A one-time, non-refundable cleaning fee of USD 100 will be charged to guests staying at the Hotel with a pet.
    All pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet (1.8 metres) unless they are within the guest room.
    Pets may not be left in guest rooms unattended and must be well trained, as any disturbance to other guests may result in the pet being removed from the property.
    Pets are not allowed in any food service outlets, the Spa or pool areas.
    With advance notice, petsitting services may be arranged through the Concierge.Owners are responsible for all property damage and personal injury their pet causes while in the Hotel.

Dogs will be pampered with: Dog bed, Milk Bone dog treats, two bowls, one bottle of water, sample of Purina Beyond (Simply 9) natural dry dog food.

Kimpton Hotels Pet Policy is quite vast. Seen left are Dugan and Barclay, First Pet Guests to stay at Hotel Monaco, Baltimore. the pups have also been guests of Hotel Monaco, in Old Town Alexandria, their mama Lisa S. S reports!

The website is clearly open-minded to any guest in your family. It reads

OK, we admit it. We have an animal attraction. Can you blame us? At every Kimpton boutique hotel, we invite you to bring your furry, feathery or scaly family member — no matter their size, weight, or breed, all at no extra charge. If your pet fits through the door, we’ll welcome them in. There’s more to our pet-friendly policy than just a no-fuss check-in and scratch behind the ear, though. We’ve got all the goodies you need to keep your pet pampered. Plus at certain properties our Directors of Pet Relations are on hand (or paw, as it were) to give you and your buddy a tail-wagging welcome.

 

SHERATON Hotels

Fine Print:

Almost all Sheraton Hotels & Resorts locations welcome dogs as guests into their hotels, in accordance with local health codes. These hotels pamper pooches with luxurious custom pet beds and other amenities, such as floor mats, food bowls, ID tags, and more. All guests checking in with a dog will receive a ‘welcome kit’ to include information on nearby areas for exercise and other goodies to help make traveling with your dog more enjoyable.

Some hotels may require an extra per-night charge and/or a deposit. There is a weight limit of 80 pounds though dogs exceeding the weight limit and pets other than dogs may be accepted into the hotel at the General Manager's discretion and should be confirmed before arrival. Pet owners will be responsible for their canine companions and for any excessive damage they may cause and you will be required to sign a pet waiver upon check in. Dogs may not be left in guest rooms unattended at any time for the duration of their stay. Individual hotels may also have additional restrictions.

In order to determine the Pet Policy for an individual hotel, please visit the Customer Assistance Center and enter the Hotel Name or City in the search field. Pet Policy will be listed under the 'Contact Us'.
 

Westin Hotels & Resorts:

Robin Paiva, Director of Outlets at Westin City Center has reached out and invited Humphrey Bogart and I to come. She told me about their special super foods program. SuperFoodsRx™ dishes are created by a collaboration of doctors and nutritionists, our SuperFoodsRx menu cultivates “food synergy." The program pairs certain 'foods to increase their nutritional value, to give you the focused energy you need to meet the challenges of your day," the website reports. This Westin also offers a selection of wholesome juices and smoothies to fuel your body and mind.

Fine Print: Dogs weighing 40lbs or less are permitted. A $50. cleaning fee will be charged. Guests must sign a waiver and will be responsible for any damages and additional cleaning required. Available amenities include The Heavenly® Dog Bed, food and water bowls with floor mat, dog in room sign, and The Heavenly Dog Welcome Kit.

 

Baltimore, MD: Donna McCulloch, Food and Beverage Manager at Radisson Hotel Cross Keys, Baltimore Maryland 21210 writes us: "The Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys is pet friendly, puppy snacks at the front desk just waiting for our four legged guests."

 

Bethany Beach, Delaware: Meris Gardens Bed & Breakfast

Meris Gardens is Bethany Beach’s only Bed & Breakfast that features both privacy and accessibility. Nestled in the woods, there is a real sense of peace; coupled with it being just a stone’s throw from Bethany’s beach, boardwalk, shops, and restaurants, it is an ideal spot to getaway.

Dogs are more than welcome ($20/day) in their special pet friendly rooms. Bethany's specialty dog shop, Yuppy Puppy, has a deal for your pup too.

Ocean City, Maryland: Clarion Resort Fontainebleau Hotel is  one of Ocean City, Maryland’s only pet friendly hotels.  Booking a pet friendly room is just a phone call away (pet friendly rooms cannot be reserved online). Follow the steps below and start planning your pet friendly stay in Ocean City:

  • Pet policy.
  • When you’re ready to reserve you pet friendly room, call our reservation department directly at 1-800-638-2100.
  • Plan ahead - there are a limited number of pet friendly rooms available.
  • The pet fee is $39 per night with an additional $15 for a second pet (maximum two pets per room).

St. Michael's Maryland: The Inn at Perry Cabin

Susanne Radek Kwicien shared that the "Inn at Perry Cabin (Belmond Property) is very welcoming to pets. Pet bed, pet bowl, house made pet treats are given upon arrival."
