June 28th is officially National Ceviche Day and Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar is celebrating with specials. From June 22nd through 28th, the restaurant will offer up three variations of the popular seafood dish priced at an affordable $5 each. This special offering is available exclusively in the 50-seat bar/lounge Monday through Saturday, from 5 PM to 7 PM, and Sunday, from 11:30 AM to 9 PM. Guests wont want to miss ceviches created by Cuba Libre’s Chef-Partner Guillermo Pernot who won his second James Beard Award for his book ¡Ceviche!, Seafood, Salads and Cocktails with a Latino Twist. Standouts include Tuna Ceviche, diced yellowfin tuna with jalapeño-coconut-ginger sauce and red onion escabéche; Bay Scallop Ceviche, Baja Bay scallops with tomato, Bermuda onions, cilantro and jalapeño salsa, fresh lime juice and extra virgin olive oil, served with saltines, or the Shrimp Ceviche, Cuban style shrimp cocktail with Latino cóctel sauce and avocado salsa.

To complement the ceviches, guests are welcome to try one of Cuba Libre’s 95+ premium and flavored rum varieties from Guyana, Haiti, Nicaragua and Tortola. Rums are priced between $8 and $34 a glass.
