Play Manayunk

Come out and PLAY!  PLAY Manayunk, held at the brand-new Venice Island Performing Arts & Recreation Center, is a celebration of all things recreation, fitness, and fun in Manayunk.  Start off your day right with the Manayunk Mile, a 1-mile fun run right along Main Street starting at 8 am.  At the end of the race, make your way down to the Venice Island amphitheater for the official start of PLAY Manayunk.  Come dressed in your workout best and take part in a Guinness World Record sit-up challenge at 1 pm or our many outdoor recreation activities, including a mini-triathlon, nature walks, kayaking, dragon boating, bike rentals, dance lessons, and much more.  Bring the kids to our Recess area, complete with old-school kid’s games, crafts, a petting zoo, moon bounce, and face painting.  Expand your health, wellness, and environmental knowledge through our lecture series, and take a break to enjoy live performances and music.  Wrap up the afternoon with some healthy offerings from our food trucks, and a Run to Happy Hour event.  Have dinner and do some shopping on Main Street, and then head back down for Movie Night at Venice Island!

Schedule:
•    8 am - Main Street Mile (run by Pattison Sports Group).  Kid and adult race down Main Street.
•    10 am-4 pm – PLAY Manayunk
•    1- 2 pm – Guinness World Records sit-up challenge (hosted by Never Give Up Training)
•    4 pm –  Run to Happy Hour (hosted by Philly Runner)
•    8 pm – Movie night
