Popsations Gourmet Popcorn celebrates National Popcorn Day -Free For All

Primary tabs

In honor of National Popcorn day on March 12, we recognize, Popsations, a Gourmet Popcorn brand born and made in Baltimore, Maryland by Robin Garrison. The Popsations commercial popcorn kitchen is located in Timonium, Maryland. It's gourmet caramel popcorn flavors are all handcrafted in small batches with artisan recipes.

"This is our fourth year in business," Robin tells us.  "We sell our ribbon bags in many gourmet and specialty stores in the Baltimore/Washington area.  A few of our retail partners include Wegmans Hunt Valley, Eddie’s, Graul’s Market, Baltimore Coffee and Tea, The Best of Luck and Chesapeake Wine Company.  The support we have received from the local community has been overwhelming."

Uniquely air popped, the popcorn process keep oils out of the popping process, then cooks its buttery caramel in large copper kettles, then fills and stirs in popcorn in the kettle softly coated with caramel.  The method results in a light, buttery, crunchy caramel popcorn that is light and airy and less caloric than its non-air popped counterparts.

We sampled the Crabby Caramel with trepidation having recently tried another popcorn brand that was doused in Old Bay. Too my glee, I was pleasantly surprised thrilled with the measurement of the hint of Old Bay seasoning incorporated into its caramel. It indeed ends up with a unique sweet and savory flavor experience blended perfectly to my sensitive salty-spicy palette.

We also sampled the decadent dark chocolate drizzled over caramel popcorn. Need I say more? It is deliciously addicting and being kept in a safe until I am a good girl! Problem is, I know where it is hidden. #AficomenFail.

The 8 ounce ribbon bags seen above, range in price from $7 to $9.  Prices range from $22 to $96, depending on the flavor and size of the tin.

Popsations can be purchased online at www.PopsationsPopcorn.com, in retail locations throughout the Baltimore area HERE and at its production facility in Timonium.  'Warning: Popsations gourmet popcorn may be addictive!' is noted on the label and reads true. I had to hide the rest of the popcorn to enjoy for another time.

In honor of National Popcorn Lovers Day, Popsations is ready to share the LOVE by giving away a free 4 ounce bag of its Classic Caramel popcorn to those that purchase a minimum of $10 at its production facility, at 7 W Aylesbury Road, Timonium, MD 21093, between 10 am and 2 pm on Thursday, March 12.
