Self Serve Beer & Wine Systems with Pour My Beer & Wine

Primary tabs

I recently came across a new custom made beer, wine technology system that allows patrons to self-seve the drink of choice and amount/ounce in beer and wine. It's by a company called POUR MY BEER. The technology system, founded by Josh Goodman and Declan Duggan, can save retail owners money as they are no longer responsible for the waste or tastings that they might typically suffer from behind the bar. The system also gives the servers time to do other tasks, like make cocktails and serve other items. The POUR MY BEER system is marketed for bars, restaurants, hotels, golf courses, and resorts.

Described by its website as "a revolutionary way to handle customer interactions & transactions at your bar, pub or restaurant," the system is a standalone, self-serve draft solution. Customers have the freedom to refill, at their leisure, sample new beers & wines and save in tips. Also there is no need to worry about waiting for service at the bar or table.

How it works

A patron is issued a wristband or card with an embedded RFID chip. They use this to pour their beer after their ID is swiped and linked to their account. They run a tab by leaving a credit card with a staff member or they can pre-load a dollar value to their profile and draw from that total.

Every 32 ounces, the patron's service will be paused until a staff member deems them eligible to re-serve. This helps with over-indugence. Once a wristband is within one inch of the receiver, the system recognizes the customer and grants access. The patron will see their available funds on the main display, what they’ve consumed and, most importantly, be able to pour the beverage of their choice.

The POUR MY BEER system creates a fun, engaging environment for patrons who want instant gratification. Bar dispensing systems increase sales for the retail owner as their valued customers no longer have to wait for service. They simply go and pour it for themselves. Neat, huh?

There are a few options:

Mobile Beer & Wine "Wall"

(Seen left a view of the system describing the pour from The Yard at Baltimore Marriott Inner Harbor Camden Yards.)

A state of the art, fully functional, self-contained, 84" long beer system on wheels. Features 4 taps with RFID readers, keg couplers, flow control & FOBs. Houses 4 slim quarter kegs or sixtels. Included are:

  • Tablet screens display consumer data & brand details
  • Drip tray
  • Refrigeration unit keeps kegs at a cool 34°F. Our Wine systems have two zones to allow you to dispense 4 wines at 2 different temperatures
  • On wheels for easy relocation
  • The RFID Reader communicates with the RFID Wristband, giving customers access to the tap
  • Comfortably stores & chills up to twelve 1/6 kegs or four full kegs
  •

Built-In Beer & Wine Wall

The Built-in Beer Wall can be custom fitted into whatever exists or is needed - whether it's stone, wood, brick, plaster, wallpaper.

Unlike the Mobile Beer Wall, kegs are stored in the cold box either directly behind the wal or glyco lines with chilled beer lines being run directly to the wall. You can choose full kegs, 1/6 kegs, and even wine kegs.

It's Social- think viral marketing!

Customers really can enjoy the novelty of pouring their own drink. There is a real value to this as they use social media like Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Instagram to take and send photos of the units and "check in" at establishments. "Customers will tell all their friends about the coolest bar dispensing equipment that they have ever seen," states co-owner Josh Goodman.
