NY Beer Fest

The inaugural New York Beer Festival will take place Sept 21st at Randall's Island, featuring dozens of breweries, hundreds of beers, food trucks, live music, and much more.   The event will take place on Randall's Island west lawn from noon to 4pm and will feature dozens of local NY breweries including Alphabet City, Blue Point, Bronx Brewery, Defiant, Doc's Cider, Greenport, Naked Flock, Ommegang, Original Sin, Empire, Fire Island, Harlem Brewing Co, Ithaca Beer Co, Keegan Ales, Kelso of Brooklyn, Lake Placid Brewery, Saranac Brewery, Shmaltz, Southampton Publick House, KUKA, Upstate Brewing, Spider Bite Brewing, and 16 Mile Brewing, among 50 others.  In addition, a number of NY's favorite food trucks will be on hand.  Mexico Blvd, Old Traditional Polish Cuisine, Mac Truck, Rickshaw Dumplings, and Gorilla Cheese will be on site selling food.  And since no outdoor beer festival is complete without music, The Ronald Reagans 80s cover band will perform 80s favorites.    Admission includes unlimited beer samplings, with VIP attendees getting an extra hour of admission and some specialty beers poured during the first hour.  For more information, go to www.nybeerfest.com
