Suit-A-Palooza

Suited to Succeed presents its 13th annual “Suit-A-Palooza.” This fundraising event features live entertainment, wine & spirits, gourmet food, artistic vendors plus silent & live auctions.  This year’s gala, with honorary chair and special guest Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, honors “Angels” of Suited to Succeed, the special donors who have generously contributed time and funds to this life-changing organization.

Suit-A-Palooza will also salute local “Women of Style & Influence" who have made a positive contribution in the areas of politics, media, business, faith and education. Patrice Sanders of Fox 45 will once again be the host for the event.

Suited to Succeed is a nationally respected non-profit organization that provides business clothing and workshops to Maryland women in transition.  Its mission is to improve the status of women experiencing hardship from underemployment, disaster recovery or welfare.  Suited to Succeed served 1,250 women in 2012, giving them a total of 10,170 items of clothing and accessories for their job interviews and new positions.

This year’s event will also feature a clothing and accessory drive where guests are encouraged to make tax deductible donations of women’s business clothing and accessories. Participants may donate suits, jackets, skirts, dress pants and blouses, as well as jewelry, shoes, purses and other accessories.
