Primary tabs

Have you ever tried Maryland wine? Have you ever seen a Picasso painting?  Now you can answer yes to both of those questions! Join Maryland Wineries Association for our inaugural Winter Wine at Evergreen event on January 10th at the beautiful Evergreen Museum & Library.

Sip on over 25 different locally-grown and produced award-winning Maryland wines in the Carriage House from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Winemakers will be on hand to answer questions about the wines served, and guests will be able to purchase wines by the glass, bottle, and case.

For an upgraded experience, start the event early at 6 p.m. with a sparkling wine reception and guided tour of the museum.

Chef’s Expressions will be serving locally-sourced passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the evening that will compliment the wines. Al Spoler and Hugh Sisson of WYPR Cellar Notes will be curating the selections. Categories of wines include: Earthy Reds, Bordeaux Blends, and Port and Dessert, among others!

Looking for more than just a glass of wine? The Evergreen Museum & Library, the country residence of two generations of Baltimore’s philanthropic Garrett family, features Asian arts; European paintings by Degas, Modigliani, and Zuloaga; American art glass by Louis Comfort Tiffany; and the John Work Garrett Library of rare books and manuscripts. Picasso paintings and Raoul Dufy paintings can also be found in the museum. Live musicians from the Peabody Institute will be playing
