Mrs Puff's Pretzels stand will warm you on da Avenue in Hampden, Hon!

Primary tabs

Hey Hampden- seems another pop-up food vendor has arrived on the 36th Street Hampden Avenue. Just in 'purrfect' time for the holidays. Here is a note into CITYPEEK from the Dog & Pony Show of Malcolm Stoll of Kiss N' Make-up and Lou Catelli, nee Will Bauer, a restaurant consultant in the Baltimore region and the owners of Luigi's Authentic Italian Deli.

"Hello, my name is Mrs. Puff and these are my pretzels!

I've teamed up with the owners of Kiss N' Make-up and the  crew at Luigi's Italian Deli to open Hampden's only Soft Pretzel Cart. We will be serving  Mrs. Puffy's Soft Pretzels with choices of dipping sauces, Original Mr. Glen's World Famous Chocolate Chunk Cookies,  Hot Cocoa brimming with the most mini marshmallows allowed by state law, and Uncle Mally's Hot Apple Cider.

Every Friday and Saturday until Christmas, we will be set up on Hampden's Avenue directly in front of  Kiss N' Make-up 827 West 36th Street, starting at 4ish and serving until 10ish. For the full week preceding Christmas (December 16th- Christmas Eve), we will be open every night from 4ish til 10ish.  Also, on Sunday, December 2nd, we will be set up by noon to take care of the crowds for the 40th Annual Mayor's Christmas Parade, with a guest appearance made by Gasman from the Hampden Toilet Races.

Make sure you come give me some heavy petting!"

When asked for some quotes and testimonials, a tongue and cheeky response from Mrs Puff was delivered in the form of quotes:

"They are better than catnip!" - Abraham Lincoln

"Wherever a young mother is unsure of what to feed her baby, we'll be there.

Wherever nacho penetration is less than total, we'll be there.

Wherever a Bavarian is not quite full, you we'll be there." - Marjorie Jacqueline Simpson (née Bouvier)

"Meow" - Mrs. Puff

Stay out in the cold, shop, eat and be purrrrfectly happy!
