Join us for Hadassah's 7th annual Cell-A-Brate to benefit life saving stem cell research and advocacy. The evening will include delicious dining, a live band and a spectacular silent auction. This year's honoree is radio personality Detour Dave Sandler. Dave's life changed in 2009 when he suddenly collapsed on the softball field from cardiac arrest. It was later determined that Dave's heart troubles due to blocked arteries stemming from radiation therapy he had more than 25 years earlier for treatment of Hodgkin's lymphoma. After a quadruple by-pass, additional surgeries and extensive physical therapy, Dave's recovery has been slow, sidelining him from his family, his work and the softball field. Like Dave, millions suffer from heart disease and there is no clinical procedure available. However, early evidence shows that stem cells may be able to replace damaged heart cells and restore cardiac function. THAT IS REASON TO CELEBRATE!
In addition to heart disease, Hadassh is at the forefront of important stem cell research that will improve the lives of those suffering from ALS, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, MS, CP, Cancer and Diabetes. Thank you for supporting our gala by attending the event, being a sponsor, placing an ad in our ad book program or offering an item for our auction.
