Individual tickets for Yannick Nézet-Séguin’s inaugural season as the Philadelphia Orchestra’s eighth Music Director officially go on sale on Monday, September 10, at 12 PM.
Yannick and the Orchestra will make history in Verizon Hall with brilliant programs, world and U.S. premieres of works by celebrated composers, and guest appearances by such esteemed artists as Lang Lang, Joshua Bell, Hilary Hahn, and Leonidas Kavakos. The 2012-13 season will also pay tribute to another significant milestone in the Orchestra’s history—the 100th anniversary of Leopold Stokowski’s first season as conductor. In their first season together, Yannick and the Fabulous Philadelphians will celebrate the legacy of this iconic figure with exciting artistic collaborations, new concert experiences, and repertoire from Stokowski’s own forward-thinking programs during his tenure with the Orchestra. Order your tickets early—seats are quickly disappearing for many of our 2012-13 season concerts!
