Hotels are booking suites and some almost at sell-out so make your reservations-don't delay.
One to try on the track and with terrific parties planned and specials in their farm-to-table restaurant, The Yard Bar & Grille, is the Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards. The Yard Bar & Grille has a fabulous new Executive Chef, Bill Downes who is bringing a tremendous Farm-To-Table effort to the hotel, now complete with a rooftop herb garden. Chef Bill hails from The Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC. The hotel will offer daily GRAND PRIX specials (you should check out their daily happy hour deals everyday) in its restaurant, The Yard Bar, on behalf of its hotel, will be will be tweeting live details, parties, racing scoop and ticket, meal and drink offers Twitter.com/MarriottTheYard and facebook/comTheYardBar.
So to keep in the know and win:
Like: http://facebook.com/TheYardBar and Twitter Follow http://twitter.com/MarriottTheYard. The hotel is the headquarters hotel for the Baltimore Grand Prix and is a sponsor of Team Baltimore Racing- see car above.
Call Elizabeth Iverson at Marriott Inner Harbor at Camden Yards at 410-962-0202 for suite (or should I say sweet) packages.
Another lovely hotel right on the track is Harbor Count, now a Royal Sonesta. Last year they had parties, even a pig roast, right in their driveway.
Sheraton Inner Harbor also had driveway parties daily and is directly on the track. Contact Chuck Payne 410-962-8300.
Travel into and around the city-
Penn Station is a stop on the free Circulator Bus. It usually is waiting as trains pull up and then they can take travelers right downtown. Highly recommend as a
method of transport. To date, unsure of light rail plans as Camden Yards is most definitely on the track-it is the major Pit Stop area.
Much more to come
