Enjoy entertainment for the whole family and light refreshments from Atria Senior Living Chef Craig Collins, Panera and Starbucks. Pay tribute to loved ones by planting your hand-crafted flowers in the Promise Garden.
WMDT’s Alyana Gomez will emcee an opening ceremony focusing on the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association, and the announcement of the top three fundraising teams and top three fundraising individuals. Youth Ambassador Parker Kellam, a student at Worcester Preparatory School who has a family connection to Alzheimer’s disease, will kick off the 3-mile walk.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s research, care and support. Its mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
