The All Roads Film Festival features more than forty films and two photography exhibitions, representing over forty-five cultures from twenty-four countries. Also join us for two free filmmaker panel discussions: LATINOS IN MODERN MEDIA on September 15 at 2pm; and INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES, MEDIA AND THE ENVIRONMENT on September 16 at 2pm. The GLOBAL GROOVE DANCE PARTY on Saturday night features two of DC's favorites: DJ Dave Nada and DJ Underdog (21 and over please).

Additional highlights include premiere screenings of BENDA BILILI! (Democratic Republic of Congo) a rags-to-riches tale about the band Staff Benda Bilili; FACING MIRRORS (Iran) a heartfelt story about a transgender male; SKY DANCER (China) about a female Tibetan Buddhist master; and a free Family Program on September 18th featuring short films for children such as "A LITTLE BICYCLE RACE" and "QUITE AN UGLY FROG." Discussion with the film director follows most screenings.

The Festival is part of the National Geographic All Roads Film Project, a program dedicated to providing a platform for indigenous and underrepresented minority-culture storytellers from around the world to showcase their works to promote knowledge, dialogue and understanding with a broader global audience.
