Join Kiehl’s Since 1851, the venerable New York-based purveyor of fine quality skin and hair care, as it embarks on the second annual Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR! The charitable motorcycle ride supports amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research and takes place July 31-August 6, 2011, making five stops along the East Coast to raise funds and awareness for amfAR.
To officially launch the ride, on August 1st, the group of approximately 20 LifeRide participants will cruise down Philadelphia’s Walnut Street and arrive at the Rittenhouse Square location for the celebration event, before heading off on the full ride.
Chef Jennifer Carroll, Bravo TV’s Top Chef Contender and celebrated chef de cuisine of the award-winning 10 Arts Bistro & Lounge by Eric Ripert, will host the event, offer special culinary samplings, and celebrate with the riders and Kiehl’s customers. The public event invites customers to enjoy light bites, sounds by DJ Eddy Tully, mingle with the riders, Chris Salgardo, President of Kiehl’s USA, and representatives from Kiehl’s and amfAR, to learn more about amfAR and its efforts. For every customer that visits the Kiehl’s store in Rittenhouse Square on this date, Kiehl’s will donate $5 to amfAR, up to a $30,000 total donation. The donation will be presented to amfAR at the event. In the spirit of giving, Kiehl’s will also offer a Celebration Discount of 15% off all purchases at the Rittenhouse Square location on August 1.
At the event, Kiehl’s will introduce Limited Edition Ultra Facial Cream, a Limited Edition version of its customer favorite, with 100% of Kiehl’s net profits from the sale of this product, up to $25,000, to benefit amfAR. The Limited Edition product features a specially-designed motorcycle motif inspired by the ride.
