MAY 1 AT THE MARYLAND ZOO IN BALTIMORE

Approximately 600 people are expected to participate in this fun, inspiring, community fundraiser that calls attention to the prevention of kidney disease and the need for organ donation.

In addition to the two-mile walk, the event will feature activities for the whole family throughout the morning. Sherry Goodman of New York Life Insurance will produce complimentary child photo ID cards.

Participants also can enjoy refreshments including bagels from Crispy Bagel Co., apples from Giant and water from Wegmans. What’s more, everyone gathered can spend the rest of the day at the Zoo.

Funds raised through Kidney Walk will directly support the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland’s patient services, education and research efforts.
