Guests to the first-ever Garden Preview Party to benefit Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake will retreat into the lush, fully-landscaped live gardens at the Maryland Home & Garden Show. The event will provide an exclusive sneak peak at the Show’s expansive 15,000 square foot garden environments before they open to the public the following day.

Guests will wander through more than 19 gardens created by the state’s best landscape designers as they enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and live jazz from the Adam Hopkins Quartet and student performers from Habitat partner schools. The gardens are a focal point of the Show, and will celebrate a “Symphony of Spring” with vibrant colors and eclectic plantings in outdoor spaces designed for entertaining and recreation. The Garden Preview Party also provides a unique opportunity for guests to meet with the Maryland Home & Garden Show's expert landscapers.

Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake is a non-profit ecumenical organization that works with people from all walks of life to renovate poverty housing and build new houses for affordable homeownership throughout Anne Arundel County and the Baltimore metropolitan region. Low income families prepare for homeownership by investing 200-300 hours of “sweat equity” in building and community work, participating in 50 hours of homebuyer education and purchasing their own homes through Habitat’s zero-interest mortgage program.

Tickets to the Garden Preview Party to benefit Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. Tickets are available online at www.habitatchesapeake.org, or by contacting Meredith Hewinson, 410-366-1250 ext.135, or mhewinson@habitatchesapeake.org.
