Evening at the Embassy of Iraq

Tonight, the Embassy of Iraq opens its doors to our Young Professional Cultural Society. Regardless of your political views over the past several years, Iraq is now a close friend the United States. Join the Ambassador as we step onto foreign soil to experience a country rich in culture and history over 1,000 years in the making.

Your very special evening features:

1. Diplomatic Greeting: Meet Ambassador and his staff as they talk and answer questions about historic and modern Iraq, its history and the future of US -Iraqi relations.

2. Native Iraqi Cuisine: Enjoy a heavy buffet of native Iraqi food prepared by the embassy chef himself. Menu TBD.

3. Iraqi Drinks: Enjoy a sampling of traditional Iraqi and regional libations including wine, beer and other non alcoholic beverages.

4. Iraqi Musical Presentation: Marvel at the special presentation of an Iraqi native music. (More details TBA)

5. Iraqi Film: See the beautiful lands, culture and people of Iraq as we preview a special film prepared by the embassy.

6. Iraqi Art: Tour the embassy’s rare collection of beautiful paintings, sculptures and other artistic pieces.
The ambassador, a huge fan of art, has prepared an amazing presentation for this evening.

NOTE: This is not a political event. This is not an endorsement of either President Bush's or President Obama's position on U.S. involvement. Rather, this is a historic opportunity to experience the diplomats and historic culture of Iraq.
