MARYLAND ART PLACE ANNOUNCES MOVE TO JOIN WESTSIDE ARTS DISTRICT DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS The Board of Trustees of MARYLAND ART PLACE (MAP) has voted unanimously to relocate MAP headquarters to its original home at 218 West Saratoga Street in Baltimore from the Inner Harbor's POWER PLANT LIVE! complex. MAP considers the move a tremendous opportunity to join other stakeholders in energizing the development of a sustainable Westside Arts District. “We’re thrilled to be part of this exciting endeavor,” says Cathy Byrd, MAP’s Executive Director.

The change of venue will give MARYLAND ART PLACE room to expand programming—positioning the organization to deepen relationships in the Westside community and to shape the MAPowned 20,000 square foot building into a multi-level center for creativity. MAP has presented a highly successful series of exhibitions, programs and events in one of Baltimore’s premiere art spaces. Over the past year, MAP has expanded programming outside the gallery walls, bringing art to the public through installation and performance projects. www.mdartplace.org | 410 962 8565
