Baltimore POLO GRILL CHEF returns to run his former hotel restaurant now named Alizee

Inn at Colonnade Restaurant- Alizee,-announces big addition in its kitchen exclusively to! CITYPEEK Chief Blogette, Patti Neumann, just got a call from General Manager Steve Nyitrai of the Doubletree Inn at the Colonnade that there is a big name coming back to its fine dining restaurant, Alizee.

"Alizee, located in the Inn at the Colonnade, is pleased and excited to bring back memories of the past, by welcoming the original Executive Chef of the Polo Grill, Chef Stephen Bohlman, Jr. back to his old “home turf” at the Colonnade," states Mr. Nyitrai. Bohlman is "looking forward to bringing back some of the old favorites of the Polo Grill, including the “famous” tempura lobster tails, chicken penne pasta and fried green tomatoes," just to name a few," he continued.

Chef Bohlman was the Executive Chef at the ever popular Polo Grill and Lenny’s Chop House for many years, before he left Baltimore. Chef Bohlman has decided to return to “Charm City” after working at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida for the past three years. Bohlman replaces the very talented Executive Chef Christian deLutis, who left Alizee, recently to run the kitchen of SOTTO SOPRA.

Chef Bohlman officially begins August 13, dove-tailing with the start of Baltimore Restaurant Week, to execute his culinary delights. Richard Naing, owner of the Inn at the Colonnade and home to “Alizee”, exclaims “I am very excited to have the opportunity to bring back Chef Bohlman to Colonnade, and to allow him to replicate the success of Polo Grill.

Alizee, plans on having a “Polo Grill” Reunion Event, and of course, want to invite Lenny and Gail Kaplan as Guests of Honor. Personally, I am thrilled to announce this and know that this PEEK will have hundreds craving the grilled lobster tails and special dipping sauce, POLO chop salad and many staple specialties that had diners coming back time and time again to what was one of Baltimore's best restaurant for a decade or so.

Chef Stephen Bohlman has been running the restaurants of many <a rel="follow" href="">hotels</a> for over two decades now. The Inn at Colonnade is lucky to bring them back and who knows, maybe many of the former nostalgic customers will return too.
