Metro Diner Café-Although considered a diner by many standards - breakfast served all day, burgers, shakes, fries - the staples you would find on a typical blue-plate diner’s menu, Metro Diner Café is far from just another diner or café, for that matter. Its menu boasts a more modern flair, from the use of fresh, local, all natural ingredients such as organic greens, and produce to farm-fresh eggs, and hormone-free beef all served in a friendly and clean environment with free Wi-Fi. Like a classic café, the menu offers espresso, cappuccino and other coffee favorites as well as beer and wine which are also organic and locally produced along with fresh desserts including a delicious array of cupcakes!. However, Metro Diner Cafe is more than just a cafe with its kid-friendly selections and quick service. Although I opted for the Maryland crab cake and satisfied my craving for french fries cut shoe-string-style, the selections I found on Metro Diner Café menu also include healthy favorites such as the black bean veggie slider, a variety of salads, and sandwiches made with zero trans fat oil and there were even a few gluten-free options. The concept of using fresh, organic and all natural, local products was what impressed me the most about Metro Diner Café but I also feel good knowing that when I eat here, I am not only supporting the community and local farmers, I am also contributing to the environment by helping to reduce the carbon footprint since the restaurant uses local ingredients. Metro Diner Café is also active with community schools which makes dining here feel a whole lot better than at some huge, out-of-state mega-chain where the food is shipped in days or even weeks ahead of preparation time. Another unique feature about Metro Diner Café is that your time is spent however way you want - whether you need to eat quickly or want to relax and take your time, it’s all up to you but one thing’s for sure, the food may be fast and service quick but this is not by any means, a fast-food restaurant… enjoy!

Bonefish Grill , What a great experience! Recently, Guest Bloggers, Sam & Elaine Blitzstein went to Bonefish Grill in Owings Mills, MD to take the Bonefish Challenge--to taste its consistent fresh approach to healthy eating. Everyday there are many choices of fish from Wild Grouper, Alaskan Halibut and Chilean Sea Bass to Snake River Rainbow Trout and Norwegian Salmon, our market-fresh fish is cooked to perfection over a wood-burning grill and then topped with your choice of one of Bonefish Grill s complementary Signature Sauces.
Our reservation was honored promptly. Kim, our waitress, was very attentive.
We started our dinner with a Bonefish specialty, Bang,Bang Shrimp, which is offered every day, all day. it was very good, seasoned perfectly.
This was followed by the refreshing House Salad and our delicious main course, Pecan Encrusted Rainbow Trout and Talapia with Mango Sauce described as "a sweet and zesty mango salsa made fresh in house." The food was very tasty and fresh!
Bonefish Grill is really one of our favorite restaurants to go to. We love the consistency and freshness. We head there once a week. With locations in 28 states, many with multiple locations in the state, it is easy to find a healthy alternative to dining out.
