Federal Hill is site of new free Circulator Bus Line Launch

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake Announces Launch of the Charm City Circulator’s Purple Route just outside the famous CROSS STREET MARKET. The new bus line now connect communities between Federal Hill, Mt Vernon and Penn Station. The 'green' hybrid shuttle is an example of 21 eco-friendly buses running 7 days a week and it is FREE running every 10 minutes 6:30- and 9 am- Saturday and Sunday.

Madame Mayor Rawlings-Blake was joined by Baltimore City Department of Transportation Director Alfred H. Foxx, Councilman Bill Cole, business, tourism and community leaders at the Cross Street Market to launch the new Purple Route of the Charm City Circulator.

Others in the crowd were City Council Vice President Ed Reisinger, Downtown Partnership's KIRBY FOWLER, CITY COUNCIL's  RIKKI SPECTOR, SCARBOROUGH FAIR B&B-BARRY WERNER, CHEF TONY-THE HILL, MORSTEIN JEWELERS SONNY MORSTEIN, JANE SEEBOLD & ERIN HOPKINS-FEDERAL HILL MAIN STREET, HENRY-FENWICK MEATS, CITYPEEK.com PATTI NEUMANN.

The ribbon cutting of the Charm City Circulator newest route comes on the heels of a successful FEDERAL  HILL JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL wrapping up just hours before late Sunday evening.

Circulator Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: 6:30am-9:00pm
Friday: 6:30am-midnight
Saturday: 9:00am-midnight
Sunday: 9:00am-9:00pm

The Charm City Circulator’s GREEN Route running to Fells Point and Johns Hopkins University is expected to launch in the 4th quarter.

The Charm City Circulator’s  ORANGE ROUTE launched in January 2010 traveling thru the major streets of downtown Baltimore.
